The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has approved the indefinite suspension of the Commissioner for Works, Stanley Lebechi Mbam.
Also suspended is the Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession, Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara, over alleged dereliction of duty.
The decision was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Monday Uzor.

According to the statement, the affected commissioners have been directed to hand over all government property in their custody, including official vehicles, to the Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect.
No further details were disclosed regarding the specific circumstances surrounding the alleged misconduct.
The suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in force pending further directives from the state government.
