The Chairman of the Ward and Local Government Congress Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress in Katsina State, Mr. Jamilu Uwais-Zaki, has declared the recently concluded congresses a resounding success across all ward levels in the state.

Uwais-Zaki made the declaration in Katsina during a joint press briefing on the exercise, stating that the outcome reflected the transparency, fairness, and level playing field provided to all party members. He commended members for their orderly conduct throughout the process.

“The fair conduct of the election has further reaffirmed the commitment of the APC to internal democracy, discipline and unity,” he said, adding that no appeal, petition or complaint was submitted for consideration.

“The outcome attests to the fairness, transparency, and local conduct of the screening committee across all wards,” he added.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Screening Committee, Dr. Bashir Ibrahim-Boni, said the screening process was conducted without incident. He explained that the committee verified the membership status of all candidates and confirmed that the required documentation was duly submitted before the congress.

Ibrahim-Boni further commended the Local Organising Committee for its role in ensuring a smooth screening exercise.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee and Chief of Staff to Governor Dikko Radda, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman-Nasir, disclosed that the congresses were conducted across all 361 wards in the state.

Mamman-Nasir said the committees were tasked with producing leaders for another term to strengthen the party’s structure and advance its objectives. He maintained that the exercise was conducted in strict compliance with the provisions of the party’s constitution and guidelines.

He also noted improvements in security across the state, stating that all wards and local government areas were accessible during the congress.
