Streaming platform Kava TV has explained that recent loading issues were caused by a surge in user traffic following the release of Funke Akindele’s movie, ‘Behind The Scenes.’

In a statement, the platform said the influx of viewers temporarily strained its servers but reassured users that its technical team is actively working to restore normal service.

The platform added, “To the thousands of you who tried to enter KAVA at the same second, your love is massive! We’ve cleared the road, and the app is back up.”

The movie, starring Scarlet Gomez, Funke Akindele, and Iyabo Ojo, has achieved remarkable commercial success, grossing N2.7 billion at the Nigerian box office and £159,000 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It currently ranks number one on Netflix for African audiences in Nigeria and leads on Kava TV for international viewers.
