Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has pledged to strengthen border security with neighbouring states, particularly Benue State, in response to recent attacks in parts of the state.
Kefas made the commitment while attending a staff gathering hosted by former Defence Minister Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma in Takum, his hometown. The annual event brings together workers across Danjuma’s business interests to boost morale.

The gathering attracted prominent personalities from within and outside the country and came in the wake of killings and displacement in Takum and Donga local government areas, linked to attacks by armed herders and local militias.
The governor noted that relative calm is gradually returning to Takum, expressing optimism about improved security while assuring residents of intensified efforts to protect lives and property.
Kefas also commended Danjuma for his longstanding contributions to the development of Taraba State and Nigeria.
