Actress Kenny George has expressed support for colleague Toyin Abraham following recent online reactions linked to comments by her former protégé, Abike Shugaa.

In a post shared on Instagram, George described Abraham as a source of admiration and commended her talent and dedication to her craft.

She noted the challenges that come with public scrutiny, stating that opinions expressed on social media should not define an individual’s value.

George highlighted Abraham’s commitment to her work, urging her to remain focused and resilient, while emphasising that her contributions continue to be recognised by a supportive audience.

"My everyday crush @toyin_abraham, I just wanted to remind you how incredibly talented you are. Navigating the ups and downs of social media can be tough, but remember that the opinions of a few don’t define your worth. Your passion and dedication shine through in everything you do, and you have a whole world that supports you. Keep your chin up! Your talent is undeniable, and the right people see that", she wrote.

The message comes shortly after content creator and influencer Abike Shugaa, also known as Pelumi Olawuni, shared a detailed account of her past working relationship with Toyin Abraham.

In the viral video, Abike Shugaa recounted how the mentorship began positively but later soured, particularly regarding her involvement in Abraham's movie projects, including claims about payment and scenes being removed from the final cut of Ijakumo.

Toyin Abraham has since responded, denying some of the allegations and clarifying details of their professional dealings.
