The Chairman, Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Ajose Peter Kumayon, has presented 250 free Joint Admissions Matriculation Board(JAMB) forms to indigent students across the council.
He announced free Computer Based Training (CBT) for beneficiaries to boost their performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The ceremony, held at the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Multi-Purpose Hall in Iworo, drew council officials, education stakeholders, parents, students and members of the press.
Kumayon described the initiative as a strategic investment under his administration’s RESHAPE Agenda, stressing that the council is not only funding the registrations but also equipping beneficiaries with free CBT training to boost their chances of success.
He noted that the intervention is aimed at removing financial barriers that hinder talented students from advancing academically.
He recalled that the council distributed 250 General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to students in 2025, adding that the free CBT training reflects a sustained commitment to education.
Kumayon highlighted other educational strides, including the organisation of Spelling Bee competitions for public schools, the celebration and full academic support for Miss Okere Favour Chindinma from JSS1 to JSS3 after emerging winner of the Primary School Spelling Bee, and the sponsorship of the 12th Coconut Festival Schools Arts Exhibition Competition.

He cited welfare support for staff living with disabilities and outreach to orphanage homes during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

Urging beneficiaries to justify the taxpayers’ investment through diligence and integrity, the chairman warned against social vices and encouraged focus on academic excellence.
Council Manager, Mr. Adesanya Moruf, and the Head of Education Department, Mrs. Idowu Bunmi Onashile, also charged the students to study hard, assuring that the council would continue to reward outstanding performance.
At the event were the Chief of Staff, Cornelius Olabisi Akinyele; the Council Manager, Mr. Adesanya Moruf, who led the management team; the Council Treasurer, Mrs. Awusinu Olayinka; the Head of Department of Education, Olorunda LCDA, Mrs. Idowu Bunmi Onashile; other heads of departments and units; aides to the Chairman; and the NULGE Chairman, and Comrade Rasheed Ogunyemi.
Also present were the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Dauda Aina; his Deputy, Ambe Itunu Alice; among others.
