The Lagos State Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Climate Change and Circular Economy (OCCE) is set to convene industry leaders, sustainability experts, and private sector stakeholders at EcoNexus 3.0, a high-level forum aimed at unlocking the financial value of climate and circular economy initiatives within industry.
The event, themed “Beyond Compliance: Monetising Climate and Circular Actions for Industries,” will hold on Tuesday, March 26, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Building on the success of previous editions, EcoNexus has served as a platform for industry players and sustainability leaders to explore practical approaches to climate accountability and circular economy opportunities.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Climate Change and Circular Economy, Titilayo Oshodi, said this year’s edition will shift focus toward helping organisations convert sustainability efforts into measurable economic value.

She noted that while many companies are already implementing initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, and responsible sourcing, the financial benefits embedded in these actions often remain underutilised.
According to her, EcoNexus 3.0 will introduce frameworks to help industries move beyond regulatory compliance and begin to recognise, structure, and monetise existing sustainability initiatives.

Oshodi added that the event will also feature innovative tools, including DecarbonIQ, a platform designed to help organisations measure, manage, and optimise their carbon emissions and circularity footprint.
The programme will further highlight economic opportunities for women in sustainability and the circular economy, in line with global conversations around International Women’s Day and the increasing role of women in ESG leadership.
EcoNexus 3.0 is expected to deepen collaboration between government and industry as Lagos strengthens its position as a leader in climate action and circular economy innovation in Africa. Participation at the event is strictly by invitation.
