Frank Onyeka debut for Coventry City may have to wait a little longer, according to manager Frank Lampard.
The Super Eagles midfielder was not named in Coventry matchday squad for Saturday’s disappointing goalless home draw with Oxford United, which eventually cost them the leadership of the English Championship.
Coventry, who are now second on 59 points from 31 matches, will welcome new leaders Middlesbrough (61 points from 31 games) in a top-of-the-table clash next Monday.

However, new signing Onyeka may again miss this must-win tie as his wife is expecting a baby and he will be granted compassionate leave, according to Coventry manager Lampard.
“Any moment from now, his wife is expecting and that will keep him out,” the manager disclosed.
Onyeka has joined the English Championship side on loan from Premier League outfit Brentford and the transfer will be made permanent should Coventry gain promotion back to the English top league at the end of the season.
