The Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme of the Lagos State University, LASU, Ojo, has pledged to give quality teaching to students.

This is just as it held its orientation and matriculation ceremonies for new intakes for the 2025 Modular Year.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, assured students that they would benefit from the quality staff and facilities in the institution. She  urged them to take adequate advantage of being students of LASU.

She was represented on the occasion by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Oseni Afisi.

“Matriculation is a covenant between the students and the institution and each side has its responsibilities. On our side, we promise you that you have come to an institution where you will be trained by quality faculties and where you have great facilities at your disposal. You won’t be denied anything.

“On your side, you have to properly manage your time, be dedicated and show perseverance. Your success won’t be accidental but you will have to earn it through diligence, hard work and commitment. You must also abide by the rules and regulations of the university,” the VC said.

She also warned the students against anti-social behaviour  and that they should  remain focused.

Director, Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme, Prof. John Adeogun, said the programme is designed to take care of the needs of different persons as some are workers, parents and people with other commitments.

“The matriculation ceremony marks the beginning of a significant academic journey that requires dedication, discipline, and a strong commitment to excellence,” he added.

He admonished the students to uphold the values and principles shared during the events as they pursue their studies and personal growth.
