Chair of Badagry-West Local Council Development Area, Rauf Yemaren, has given cars to political office and management officials, to enhance service delivery.

Speaking at the presentation, he said the initiative was a step to boost governance and operational efficiency in the council.

Beneficiaries include vice chair, council secretary, five councillors, chief of staff, council manager and treasurer.

Yemaren said: “This is not just a symbolic gesture, but a strategic investment in governance.

“By equipping our political office holders and management staff with tools, we are enhancing their capacity to serve our people more effectively and respond promptly to grassroots needs.

“We will provide tools to enable our team serve our well.”

The chair assured residents his administration will focus on development, inclusiveness and policies that benefit them directly.

He appealed for continued support for APC government, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and looking forward to his 2027 re-election bid.

Vice Chairman of the council, Princess Sesi Ogungbe, hailed the initiative, saying the vehicles would ease mobility.

SLG Nathaniel Johnson appreciated the chairman’s initiative, saying the vehicles would enhance administrative efficiency and performance.

He assured the chairman of their loyalty, dedication and commitment to delivering quality service to the people of Badagry West LCDA.

The chairman announced appointments of executive council members, including vice chairman, secretary, supervisors and special advisers.

He said the appointments were strategic and aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing service delivery and accelerating grassroots development across Badagry West LCDA.

Yemaren said the selection reflected competence, loyalty and readiness to serve the people.
