The communiqué signed by its Convener, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri, is rooted in the quest for equity and the preservation of the state’s unique identity.

According to the group, ensuring that the reins of power remain with the indigenes is essential for deeper stakeholder alignment and the long-term stability of the state’s governance.

While pushing for a shift in local leadership, the group maintained its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The group maintained that any candidate seeking political position must possess a clean record of integrity, devoid of corruption or criminal infractions, have a proven track record of achievement in either the public or private sector, supported by the requisite academic and professional qualifications, possess sound character and discipline and demonstrates a commitment to family values.

The group promised to engage with all qualified aspirants, with the objective of identifying and supporting candidates’ best suited to steward the collective future of Lagos State.
