Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman scored in last night’s Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad, but it was not enough as Atletico Madrid lost the chance to win their first major trophy of the season.
Lookman drew Atletico level after Real Sociedad went ahead with virtually the first kick of the cup final.

Real Sociedad then regained the lead, before Atletico fought back to again draw level late on and take the Copa del Rey final to extra time.
There were no goals in extra time, and so the contest had to be decided on penalties, with Real Sociedad triumphant 4-3 in the shootout.
