The Lagos State Command and Control Centre (LSCCC) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening road safety enforcement and coordinated emergency response across the state.
This followed a courtesy visit by the management of the Lagos State Command and Control Centre to the Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Leading the LSCCC delegation, the General Manager, Femi Giwa, lauded the FRSC for its professionalism, operational discipline and sustained commitment to road safety enforcement, traffic regulation and crash response management in Lagos.
Giwa said the visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and reinforce coordinated emergency response mechanisms in the state.
“As the state’s central emergency coordination hub, LSCCC is committed to enhancing real-time incident monitoring, seamless inter-agency communication and rapid response activation among all emergency service providers,” he said.

He also highlighted the Centre’s technological advancement initiatives, including the deployment of the Local Emergency Response and Management System (LERMS I and II), designed to improve decentralised emergency reporting, boost response efficiency and ensure coordinated deployment of emergency resources statewide.
The Lagos Sector Commander of FRSC, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, stressed the importance of synergy among safety and emergency management agencies in safeguarding lives, protecting property and strengthening public confidence in emergency service delivery.
He noted that effective collaboration and information sharing were critical to addressing traffic-related incidents and improving response time on Lagos roads.
According to him, both agencies has reaffirmed their shared mandate to enhance intelligence exchange, operational coordination and joint response strategies, particularly in traffic incident management, rapid response deployment and public safety awareness.
“We have resolved to integrate designated FRSC personnel into the LSCCC operations to strengthen traffic incident monitoring, improve intelligence sharing and ensure seamless multi-agency emergency response coordination,” he said.
