The General Manager of the Lagos State Printing Corporation (LSPC), Dr Kolawole Peregrino, has hosted the 11th memorial Ramadan lecture and special prayers in honour of his late mother, Alhaja Libatu Dosumu.
The event brought together Muslim faithful, community leaders and residents for spiritual reflection during the holy month of Ramadan.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late Alhaja Dosumu as well as for peace and progress in the country.
Food items were also distributed to members of the community as part of the programme.
Speaking at the event, Peregrino said the lecture was organised to keep his mother’s legacy alive while creating an avenue for people to reflect on the teachings of Islam during Ramadan.

He urged participants to take the lessons of the holy month to heart and apply them in their daily lives.
Delivering a lecture titled Retribution, the guest speaker, Sheikh Yaqub Adisa, reminded Nigerians that every action carries consequences, urging citizens and leaders to conduct their affairs with the consciousness of divine accountability.
According to him, the concept of retribution occupies a central place in Islamic teachings, stressing that individuals will ultimately face the outcome of their deeds.
He said many of the moral and governance challenges confronting society today stem from the failure of people to remember that they will be held accountable for their actions.
Adisa urged Nigerians, particularly political leaders, to be mindful of the consequences of their decisions and actions.
“Every action has consequences. What a person sows is what he will reap. No one escapes the outcome of his deeds”, he said.
The cleric noted that when individuals and leaders remember that they will answer to God, they are more likely to act with fairness, justice and compassion.
