Man rapes 14-year-old boy in Jos as police parade kidnappers, traffickers, others

A statement issued by the state's Commissioner of Police (CP) said: “We received a report that on 28/01/2026, the complainant came back home and found out that his 14 years old son was missing.

“When he was eventually found four days later, his son informed him that it was one Aminu Suleiman, male, 47 years old, who lured him and had anal sex with him several times.

“The suspect has since been arrested and will be charged to court upon conclusion of our investigation.”

Similarly, the police reported that “on 24/03/2026 at about 02:00pm, we arrested one Hamza Kabiru, male, 24 years, of Jos LGA, who was reported to have repeatedly had anal knowledge of seven (7) underage children in the community”.

In another development, one Ahmad Muhammed Mohammadu, male, 20 years old, of Nepa Jos North LGA, was arrested for having anal knowledge of a nine (9) years old boy.

"The case is currently under investigation at the State JWC and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion," the statement said.

In another case of rape, the police reported that on March 25, 2026, at about 01:00pm, it received a report from Laranto Police Division of one Musbah Muhammed, male, 32 years, of Congo Russia, Jos, who lured a 13-year-old girl and had canal knowledge of her.

“The suspect has been arrested and is currently undergoing thorough investigation at the State JWC,” the police said.

Other suspects paraded included those being charged for kidnapping, armed robbery, trafficking, among others.
