Oyo State Police Command has arrested Lateef Suleiman, 43, for killing his elder brother, Mustapha Amidu, 52, following an accusation that the deceased shot him in a dream while he was asleep the previous night.

Based on this, he said the suspect allegedly approached the deceased where he was seated, picked up a heavy rock, struck him on the head, and fled the scene.

The Command’s spokesman, Ayanlade Olayinka, in a statement said although the victim was rushed to Ileri Oluwa Hospital, Sepeteri, for medical attention, he was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty.

He said the case was reported at the Ago-Amodu Divisional Police Headquarters, Sepeteri by Badmus Yunisa of Alegunlode Compound, Sepeteri.

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Femi Haruna, had directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for  investigation.
