Ebony Ambassadors UK will hold its grand finale of the Miss E.B.O.N.Y Ambassador Innovative Pageant Nigeria on Friday, April 10 at Swiss International, The Vistana Hotel, Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Lagos.

The Miss E.B.O.N.Y Ambassador Innovative Pageant is a flagship creativity and empowerment competition organised by Ebony Ambassadors UK, a community-focused organisation dedicated to youth empowerment, cultural awareness, and skills development. First launched in London in 2016, the pageant is recognised as one of the first initiatives of its kind in the United Kingdom, providing a platform where young African women are supported to develop skills, showcase their talents, and promote African cultural heritage.

Over the years, the initiative has grown to include workshops, cultural exhibitions, and annual grand finales that connect communities, partners, and audiences across the United Kingdom and Africa.

Unlike traditional pageants that focus primarily on appearance, the Miss E.B.O.N.Y Ambassador Innovative Pageant focuses on empowerment, leadership, and skill development. The platform was created to address the lack of opportunities available to many young African women seeking spaces that celebrate cultural identity while promoting confidence, entrepreneurship, and community leadership.

According to CEO Ebony Ambassadors and Founder Pageant, Irene Eribo Ani ‘the platform was created to empower young women beyond beauty. We aim to provide them with practical skills, leadership opportunities, and strong senses of cultural pride that will help them succeed in their communities and careers.’

The pageant aims to empower young women with practical skills through mentorship and workshops, celebrate African culture through performances and cultural showcases, encourage philanthropy and community leadership among participants and create networking opportunities connecting young women with mentors and partners.

Leading up to the grand finale, contestants will participate in skills workshops focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural expression, and personal development. The event will also feature cultural exhibitions showcasing Nigerian heritage through food, art, dance, and traditional attire.

The evening will culminate in a spectacular grand finale and awards ceremony, where winners will be crowned and individuals contributing to youth empowerment will be honoured through recognitions such as the Ebony Ambassador Africa Youth Empowerment Award (EAAYE).

The organisers expect the event to deliver several key outcomes, including increased confidence and leadership potential among participants, stronger cultural pride, and expanded opportunities for youth-led initiatives in Nigeria and the diaspora.

The initiative continues to thrive through partnerships with media organisations, cultural institutions, sponsors, and community leaders, ensuring its sustainability and long-term impact for future generations.
