A top official has said Terem Moffi will not return to Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, whether or not FC Porto take up the option to sign him permanently.

Moffi is on loan until the end of the season at Porto with the Portuguese giants having the option to sign him permanently.

Moffi’s departure from OGC Nice to FC Porto in January followed a deterioration of relations with the club’s management and supporters.

Maurice Cohen, the vice-president of OGC Nice, has now stated that Moffi will not return to Nice, irrespective of whether his purchase option is exercised.

Moffi had expressed his desire to leave after being subjected to violence and insults during a supporters’ gathering in November 2025.

He and Jérémie Boga initiated legal proceedings with professional football authorities, citing inadequate security by the club. The situation has been described as irreparable.
