Actress Moyo Lawal has denied reports that she ordered the arrest of a Twitter user over a viral AI-generated picture of herself.
The image, which showed her face darkened, sparked bullying and criticism, with some users accusing her of skin bleaching.
A Twitter user, ScoobyDoo, mocked her over the picture and later claimed he was arrested and detained at Area F in Ikeja for his comments.
However, Moyo described this claim as false, stating she wouldn't take away someone's rights over a joke image.

In a statement, Moyo wrote, "I did not arrest any rat .. rest assured , that if I do arrest any rat .. the animal or animals will rot away in prison for the rest of their lives .Oppression is not my line of defense, why would I take away A RATs fundamental human right because of something as frivolous as an opinion over an AI generated April fool joke image representing me falsely for laughs ??.
