He said insinuations that certain political interests or influential figures were behind his declaration for the Ondo Central Senatorial seat were unfounded, aimed at discrediting his credibility and experience in public service.
"My aspiration to represent Ondo Central in the Senate is not influenced by any external force whatsoever. It's a personal decision driven by my passion for service and commitment to the development of our people," Fasoranti said.
He explained that his track record in the public service with over three decades of experience in the medical field, serving at the State House Medical Centre, where he rose to the directorate cadre before retiring in 2024 and later became the Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board and late became the SSG also reflected his capacity to deliver.
According to him, these experiences have strengthened his capacity to contribute meaningfully to national development while ensuring effective representation for Ondo Central.
The Ex-SSG further noted that he is ready to consult widely with the stakeholders, party leaders, and residents to articulate a people-oriented agenda, adding that that he remains very focus on engaging with constituents across the senatorial district, comprising Ondo West, Ondo East, Ifedore, Akure South, Akure North and Idanre.

He explained that his senatorial ambition would enable him to attract federal projects and address developmental challenges in the district, urging political actors to focus on issues that affect the electorates in preparation for the 2027 general election.
While appealing for support, Fasoranti also called on the youths and women in the district to actively participate in the political process, assuring that inclusive representation will be his utmost priority if elected to represent people of Ondo Central Senatorial District in the Senate.
He, however, lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve his government, affirming that the role given him as SSG has shown him deeper insights into the needs of the people.
Fasoranti had last week Friday declared his interest in Ondo Senatorial District seat through a statement he personally issued to journalists, noting that he was motivated by the desire to promote people-oriented representation and to consolidate the dividends of democracy across communities in the district.
"I am motivated by the desire to promote people-centric representation and to contribute to the consolidation of the dividends of democracy across our communities. I believe that governance must be practical, inclusive, and impactful touching lives in tangible ways and creating opportunities for growth and development.
"Beyond public service, my engagements in humanitarian and professional initiatives have further reinforced my commitment to improving lives, strengthening systems, and building sustainable structures that benefit society. I remain guided by values of humility, integrity, and dedication; principles that have shaped my personal and professional life.
"As I step forward in this journey, I do so with a clear vision: to provide purposeful representation, to listen to the aspirations of our people, and to translate those aspirations into meaningful action at the national level," he said.
The former SSG, who is also a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is expected to battle the party's ticket with the incident Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, also from Akure, who is already seeking a re-election and other prominent aspirants from the zone eyeing the seat.
