Titcombe College Egbe Old Students Association (TCEOSA) Computer Based Testing Centre financed by Senator Representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi, an ex-student of the college officially opened for use on Thursday in Egbe, Yagba West Local Council, Kogi State.

From Wednesday, approximately 1000 candidates of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) besieged Egbe from yet to be ascertained different locations for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 18th, 2026.

The 288-seater modern digital learning and test centre at Titcombe College aimed at facilitating local JAMB and computer-based exams comprises a dedicated server room, CCTV cameras, secure perimental fencing, improved water supply system, high-speed internet, solar power, and 288 laptops. The project worth N300m was built by Senator Karimi in partnership with the alumni association, TCEOSA.

To one of the candidates, Samuel Olugbemi, from Kabba, Kabba-Bunu LGA, TCEOSA CBT centre is one of the best iequipped in the  country.

College Principal,  Ajayi J.O, in a statement issued on Thursday, disclosed that Senator Karimi donated 100 litres of diesel to power the generator at the Centre.

According to the principal, "This thoughtful gesture comes at a critical moment, as our centre prepares to host candidates for the forthcoming JAMB examinations. This act of generosity not only ensures uninterrupted power supply during the examination period but also reinforces confidence in the smooth and credible conduct of the exercise. It is a clear reflection of the Senator’s dedication to promoting academic excellence and supporting institutions that shape the future of our nation.

"We deeply appreciate this kind gesture and pray that the Almighty continues to bless and strengthen him as he serves humanity. Titcombe College remains committed to upholding the highest standards in education and examination integrity, inspired by the goodwill of leaders such as him. Thank you for standing with us."

Earlier, retired Rev S.O Babawarun dedicated the Centre to God before being put to use (on a mass scale) for the very first time. He glorified the name of God for making the centre a reality in Egbe Community.

The octogenarian clergy prayed for the JAMB candidates from across Kogi West, Kogi State and Nigeria; Titcombe College, Egbe Staff, and  the CBT Administrative Committee for effective use of the facilities, examination success and safety of the candidates during the examinations and God's blessings and protection in abundance for Senator Karimi and TCEOSA for facilitating the centre.
