The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated officers from two specialised air power training programmes to strengthen operational planning and intelligence integration across its units.

The participants completed the Air Campaign Planning Course and the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations Management Course at the Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre (AWDC) on April 24, following a two-week intensive programme designed to improve effectiveness in multi-domain operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, NAF's Chief of Operations, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Precious Amadi, urged the graduates to apply the knowledge gained to enhance operational performance in their respective units. He emphasised the importance of joint operations, interconnectivity and continuous professional development in addressing evolving security challenges.

Commandant of AWDC, Garba Jibia, said the Air Campaign Planning Course strengthened participants’ capacity to plan and execute air operations, while the ISR course improved their ability to integrate intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets into joint missions.

Jibia noted that the training would enhance decision-making, coordination and mission effectiveness, adding that the programmes underscore the Centre’s role in advancing air power doctrine and improving interoperability in line with global best practices.
