Éric Chelle, Super Eagles head coach, has raised concerns over his contract situation with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Chelle, who is under contract with the NFF until January 2027, has been linked with a number of clubs and national teams after guiding Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Malian told Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana that his agent is currently discussing the details of a new agreement with the Federation.

“Yes, there are financial issues to be discussed and resolved. But I leave them to my agent to handle with the Federation. I want to concentrate on the job and the task at hand,” Chelle said.
Despite the ongoing discussions, Chelle remains focused on preparations for upcoming assignments with the Super Eagles.
The former Mali international is expected to lead Nigeria to the 2026 Unity Cup next month and is also believed to be monitoring players in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) ahead of naming his squad.
The Super Eagles will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the semi-final of the Unity Cup at The Valley on May 26. Nigeria won the 2025 edition of the invitational tournament and will also take on Poland and Portugal in international friendlies.
