The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), alongside Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Turkish sides Beşiktaş J.K. and Sivasspor, have paid heartfelt tributes to former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo following his death at the age of 40.

Eneramo, who was born in Kaduna, enjoyed a distinguished professional career across Africa and Europe, earning admiration for his physical presence, work rate, and eye for goal.

His passing was confirmed on Friday, prompting an outpouring of condolences from football bodies and former clubs he represented during his career.

In a message shared via social media, the NFF expressed sorrow over the loss of the ex-international.

Turkish club Beşiktaş also mourned the former striker, stating, "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Eneramo. We extend our condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Michael."

Similarly, Sivasspor paid tribute to their former player, highlighting his commitment during his time at the club.

“We have learned with deep sadness of the passing of our former footballer, Michael Eneramo."

"He will always be remembered for his dedication and effort while wearing our red-and-white jersey.
