The  management shared the letter in the company's X handle.

It reads in part: "Kindly be informed that the current shortage of power supply is due to the reduced allocation Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) is receiving from the national grid."

PHED explained that "This decline is as a result of low power generation caused by a reduction in gas supply to thermal plants, and has consequently impacted the distribution of power within our network.

"We know how difficult this situation has been, and we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused.

"We assure you of our commitment to efficiently distribute the available power while we anticipate improved allocation from the grid."
