Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has responded to backlash over her comment on a social media post by Funke Akindele, amid the latter’s reported rift with Toyin Abraham.

Nkechi had written “La Funky” under Funke’s post, a move that drew criticism from fans who accused her of taking sides against Toyin, widely believed to be her associate.

Reacting, the actress clarified that her comment was made about 24 hours before the dispute between the two actresses became public, insisting it was not intended as a slight against Toyin.

She dismissed the criticism, describing her detractors as “stagnant” and “jobless” for concluding without verifying the timeline of events.

She wrote, “I made this video, and I didn’t want to post until the next slide. I dropped a comment 24 hours before the whole drama started yesterday. But some of this never do well; stagnant fans wey, ogun go kee. Went under that comment just a few hours to call me a hypocrite. Now that justifies my video.

"Listen, if you find yourself among those jobless so-called fans who do nothing but jam two celebrity heads together, you see this year? It will never be well with all of you. Una kuku sabi me Ogun kee all of una. Stagnant Fools from the pit of hell. Shade her? Omo make una kuku carry the whole life go heaven na! As peace is not sweet for some of you!
