The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NLNG, Adeleye Falade, has commended the Rivers State Police Command for safeguarding critical national assets and maintaining security around the company’s operations.

Falade gave the commendation on Monday while receiving the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, during a courtesy visit to NLNG’s Corporate Head Office in Port Harcourt.

He described the Command as professional and disciplined, noting its commitment to ensuring safety across the state.

The NLNG boss particularly praised the Police for securing key projects, including the Train 7 project and the Bonny-Bodo Road corridor.

Falade stressed the need for stronger collaboration, especially ahead of the commissioning of the Bonny–Bodo Road, which he said would improve access to Bonny Island and open up new opportunities for residents.

“With increased access to Bonny Island, there is a need for broader engagement on how to sustain the safety of lives and assets. As long as our operations remain secure and uninterrupted, the benefits will continue to extend across the state and the nation,” he said.

In his remarks, Adepoju reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to deepening its partnership with NLNG, describing the company as a key pillar of both the Rivers State and national economy.

“NLNG remains a pride of Rivers State. Our teams are prepared to respond promptly to any security concerns, with structures in place for rapid response,” he said.

Also present at the meeting was the Deputy Managing Director of NLNG, Olakunle Osobu, alongside other members of the management team.
