The National Universities Commission (NYC) has granted full accreditation to all degree programmes offered by the University of Benin following the conclusion of its accreditation exercise conducted in October and November last year.

The development was conveyed in a statement by the institution’s spokesperson, Dr Benedicta Ehanire, who said the commission communicated the outcome in a letter dated April 7, 2026.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie, attributed the achievement to the dedication and commitment of the university’s management and staff to academic excellence and the promotion of high educational standards.
