NURTW, PLWD to Adamawa governorship aspirant: return to PDP
The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Association of Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD) have urged governorship aspirant, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, to return to the Peoples Democratic Party

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Association of Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD) have urged governorship aspirant, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and contest under it in next year’s gubernatorial election.
Vunolbolki was in the PDP until February 23, this year when he defected to All Progressives Congress (APC) where he declared to run for office of governor, only to storm out of APC on April 15, complaining of lack of fair play; and he is yet to announce his new party.
Members of the NURTW, during a support rally in front of Vonolboki’s office in Yola, the state capital, expressed confidence in his leadership credentials and ability to secure victory for the PDP in Adamawa. They pledged their loyalty and readiness to mobilise support across the state should he heed their appeal.

Vunobolki called for patience, assuring supporters that a clear political direction would be announced in the coming days.
From the campaign office, Vunobolki moved to his residence, where the PLWD drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state, assembled to welcome him.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the PLWD state Assistant Secretary, Comrade John Anthony highlighted Vunobolki’s contributions to improving their livelihoods.
Also, the Women Leader of the group, Godiya Simon and Chairman, Abdullahi Toungo, echoed similar sentiments, pledging unwavering support for his governorship ambition.
Vunobolki expressed gratitude for the support and said he said he had noted their appeals and would communicate his next political steps soon.
