Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels will continue their feisty battle for the leadership of Group A as Nigeria Women's Football League Premiership Matchday 14 are played today  while Abia Angels, Ahudiyannem Queens and Nasarawa Amazons are in tough league tests in Group B.

With leaders Edo Queens on a bye, the fight for the summit in Group A is wide open. Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels are level on 27 points in second and third respectively, setting up a potential shake-up at the top.

Rivers Angels will host Adamawa Queens in Port Harcourt, aiming for a convincing victory to overturn their inferior goal difference. The Jewels of Rivers suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to Ibom Angels last week but face a fifth-placed Adamawa Queens side (17 points) that has already lost five matches this season.

Bayelsa Queens, meanwhile, are expected to capitalize at home in Yenagoa against fourth-placed Ibom Angels (17 points). A win would likely see them reclaim top spot, on goal difference.

Elsewhere, sixth-placed Heartland Queens (14 points) will host bottom-placed Pacesetters Queens (8th , five points) in Owerri. The hosts are chasing back-to-back wins for the first time this season and could climb to fourth if they secure a big victory and overturn the goal difference that could be enough to leapfrog Ibom Angels.

At the bottom, Naija Ratels have a lifeline at home in Abuja against Ekiti Queens. The youthful Ratels side sit last with five points and have conceded a league-high 26 goals. A win is crucial to close the gap on seventh-placed Ekiti Queens (10 points) as they battle relegation.

In Group B, leaders FC Robo Queens (28 points) face a tricky away tie against sixth-placed Ahudiyannem Queens (15 points) in Aba. The hosts are chasing a fifth consecutive unbeaten game after their impressive 1-0 win over Sunshine Queens in Akure.

Second-placed Abia Angels (24 points) will be on the road against Sunshine Queens in Akure. The Owena Whales, currently ninth with 12 points, are under pressure to avoid back-to-back home defeats after losing to Ahudiyannem Queens last week.

Nasarawa Amazons (4th , 23 points) will look to keep pace with the leaders when they host third-placed Remo Stars Ladies (23 points). With both sides level on points, the clash could significantly impact the Super Six race.

At the lower end, Osun Babes (10th , nine points) face a must-win clash against Confluence Queens (7th, 14 points) in Ile Ogbo. Both sides are under threat of relegation and cannot afford to drop points.

In Lagos, eighth-placed Dannaz Ladies (13 points) will take on fifth-placed Delta Queens (16 points) at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in another evenly balanced fixture.

With just four games remaining after this round, the stakes are rising. Teams chasing Super Six qualification and those fighting to avoid relegation must step up as the season approaches its decisive phase.
