The Ogun State government has inaugurated the ultra-modern manufacturing facility of Summit Household Solutions Limited in Ota, further strengthening the state’s position as Nigeria’s leading industrial hub while advancing efforts to improve public health and hygiene standards across the country.
Summit Household Solutions Limited, the company behind the widely trusted 2Sure brand, is a Nigerian FMCG manufacturer with a growing portfolio that also includes Lewar, a premium beauty soap line designed to deliver accessible, high-quality personal care solutions.
The commissioning was performed on behalf of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment Ogun State, Mr Kehinde Akintomide.
Located in Ota, Ogun State, the facility commenced operations in April 2025 and specialises in the manufacture of home and personal care products, including dishwashing liquids, handwash, sanitisers, and multipurpose liquid soaps. The factory has an estimated annual production capacity of 7,000 tons.
The development comes at a critical time as Nigeria continues to strengthen hygiene awareness in the post-COVID-19 era, with increased focus on preventing infections and improving sanitation practices in homes and institutions.
Speaking at the event, Mr Akintomide described the investment as a strong vote of confidence in Ogun State’s industrial ecosystem, noting that the state hosts over 6,000 manufacturing firms across its industrial clusters, making it one of Nigeria’s leading destinations for manufacturing investment.
He disclosed that the factory has already created employment for over 50 Nigerians, with projections to exceed 250 jobs as operations scale.
He added that the development aligns with both the state government’s economic agenda and the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope initiative aimed at boosting local production and reducing import dependence.“
This investment further validates Ogun State’s position as the industrial capital of Nigeria. We will continue to strengthen policies that support ease of doing business, attract investments, and drive sustainable economic growth,” he said.
In his remarks, the General Manager of Summit Household Solutions Limited, Sadiq Ali, highlighted the strategic importance of the facility as a key driver of the company’s growth and innovation agenda.
He noted that 2Sure, the company’s flagship brand, forms the foundation of the factory’s current product offering, reinforcing Summit’s commitment to delivering affordable and effective hygiene solutions at scale.
He said the company is preparing to launch a new personal care and home care range later this year.
The occasion was graced by many dignitaries, including former MD of 7Up Bottling Company, Mr Ziad Maalou, the CEO of OmniRetail, Deepanker Rustagi and many others.
