He said in a thank you message: “This is the only option left for us to grow our democracy. I urge you to join me in making the necessary sacrifices for us to make our democracy stronger and better.
“Let us, therefore, be more united and eschew all forms of bitterness, oppression and rivalry. Together, we shall move forward.”
The chairman, who promised to serve the party diligently, thanked God and Lagosians for the opportunity to serve for another term, assuring people that he would not take them for granted.

Ojelabi also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu “for always being there for me,” adding that “he is the pillar of our success and the reason behind the peace and stability in the progressive family.”
He lauded Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, chairman and members of the Governance Advisory Committee (GAC) for their leadership and support, saying “they stood firmly in defence of the integrity of the exercise from the beginning to the end.”
He added: ‘’The leaders and members of our party from across the state are wonderful people, who believe in the sanctity of our democracy and will always give in their best to make it work.
“You all went the extra mile to ensure only our best hands emerged winners in your constituencies. No wonder Lagosians always prefer us to the other political contraptions they call opposition. Our people know that we handle every election with seriousness and integrity.”
