The initiatives are part of the state government’s drive to enhance infrastructure at the institution. The E-Library was donated by business magnate and philanthropist Ehi-Agenmonmen, while the Fitness Centre is being funded by businessman and philanthropist Peter Omoh Dunia.

Ahead of these events, Governor Okpebholo will also open the newly renovated Auchi College, a project facilitated by Mr. Dunia.

The Health Centre project was conceived by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Victor O. Adetimirin, who kick-started the initiative by donating his first full month’s salary. An engineer and parent of two students, Saliu Lawal, contributed by funding all architectural drawings. A dedicated account has been established for donations from friends, parents, and other stakeholders to support the construction and equipping of the facility.

Prof. Adetimirin noted that the proposed Health Centre is expected to set new benchmarks in healthcare delivery for both students and staff, and the university is appealing to well-meaning individuals and organizations for further support.
