Okpebholo's intervention eases traffic on Benin-Sapele road highway

The intervention of Governor Monday Okpebholo in taking over reconstruction of the Benin-Sapele highway has eased heavy vehicular traffic on the highway.

Motorists used to spend long hours on the highway occassioned by various failed sections of the road.

The ongoing construction of the Evbukhu-Sapele road and the old Benin-Warri highway helped the decongest traffic on the busy highway.

Over 10 communities that were difficult for motorists to navigate through along the Benin-Sapele rosd corrodor due to bad roads are now being accessible.

Some commercial drivers, who spoke during an inspection of some ongoing projects, applauded the pace at which the contractors were handling their various aspect of the job.

Mr. Okechukwu Michael recalled how former Governor Godwin Obaseki abandoned the Benin-Sapele road highway including adjoining streets currently being fixed by Okpebholo.

At the AmuFi-Okpagha-Eyean road, a major by-pass between Agbor and Aduwawa roads, the project engineer, Engr. John ibizugbe, said the first phase of the asphalt work has been done.
