Speaking at the celebration, Oba Ladoja described Ajewole as one of Ibadanland’s illustrious sons whose contributions to preserving the city’s culture and traditions are invaluable.

Dr. Babatunde, who launched Ajewole’s autobiography at the event, encouraged Nigerian youths to emulate distinguished citizens like Ajewole by shunning social vices and excelling in their chosen careers.

Babatunde, also the Aare Ago Mayegun of Ibadanland, highlighted the celebrant’s journey from a vibrant student leader to a renowned legal practitioner and community leader, particularly his role in completing the new Olubadan palace.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Bashorun Gafar Ojetola, emphasized that the event celebrated Ajewole’s service, leadership, and enduring commitment to Ibadanland and Oyo State. He commended the celebrant for embodying virtues of justice, humility, and dedication.

Speakers further noted Ajewole’s achievements as CCII President-General, including fostering peace among traditional leaders, promoting unity among Ibadan clubs and associations, completing the Olubadan palace complex, and establishing an ICT training centre. Under his leadership, the Bashorun Kola Daisi Entrepreneurship Centre has trained over 300 indigenes in various vocations.

The event featured cultural performances, the cutting of the birthday cake, and the official launch of Ajewole’s book, celebrating both his milestone birthday and his remarkable contributions to Ibadanland.
