Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has installed Rasaq Sijuola, who was the pioneer Mogaji of Looyin dynasty in Oke Offa Atipe area of Ibadan.
Sijuola, an internationally-trained nurse, social worker and economist, was formally installed at the Olubadan Palace in Oke Aremo, Ibadan North Local Government Area. The ceremony drew family members, kinsmen and other dignitaries.
In his acceptance remarks, the new traditional title holder expressed appreciation to family members for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to pursue community-focused initiatives to improve living standards in the area and in Ibadanland at large.
His emergence marks a historic milestone as the first person to occupy the Mogaji position of the Looyin dynasty.

Community members described his selection as a forward-looking development that combines cultural heritage with modern leadership orientation and a development-driven agenda.
Sijuola had his early education in Agege, Lagos, where he attended Saint Joseph’s Secondary School, graduating in 2000. He currently serves as President of the Millennium Set Alumni Association, reflecting his continued commitment to unity and service.
With academic and professional experience across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Finland, and travel in more than 22 countries, he brings a broad international perspective to leadership and professional expertise in nursing, social work and economics.
Beyond his professional background, Sijuola has also contributed to community development through the Sijuola Social Development Foundation (SSDF), which has supported initiatives such as free JAMB forms, student scholarships, youth sports competitions, and assistance to religious and community institutions.
The foundation also supports the less privileged and provides logistics for community activities, reinforcing its focus on youth empowerment, social welfare and inclusive development within the Looyin dynasty and beyond.
