To ensure Ondo Central Senatorial District enjoys dividends of democracy, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Chief Gbenga Eleduma, has advised the people of Central Senatorial District to support the lawmaker representing the zone, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, for him to become a ranking member of National Assembly.
In a statement at the weekend, Eleduma said attaining ranking status would strengthen Adegbonmire’s capacity to attract more federal projects, influence key legislative decisions and deliver tangible development to the district.
He says a ranking senator commands greater respect, secures better committee positions and wields more influence in national affairs, all of which translate into accelerated progress for Ondo Central.
“Senator Adegbonmire has already demonstrated commitment and competence in his representation. With our collective support to return him as a ranking senator, we can unlock even greater opportunities in infrastructure, education, agriculture, youth empowerment and human capital development,” Eleduma said.
He called on stakeholders, traditional rulers, party leaders, youth groups, women associations and the people of Ondo Central to support Adegbonmire in his quest for re-election and higher legislative ranking.
The businessman urged the district ‘’to take this golden opportunity,’’ stressing that ‘’unity and purposeful support today will guarantee brighter dividends of democracy tomorrow.’’
