National president of the Oodua People's Congress Reformed (OPC-R), Chief Dare Adesope, has urged the government to improve the living conditions and security of citizens.
In his Easter message, Adesope emphasised the need for the government to prioritise the welfare of its citizens, particularly in areas of healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
He lamented the poor state of roads, inadequate healthcare facilities, and the rising cost of living, which he said were putting a strain on citizens.

Adesope also expressed concern over the rising insecurity in the country, urging the authorities to take concrete steps to protect lives and property.
"The government must do more to address the challenges facing our community and the nation at large,"
" OPC reformed is a grassroots security outfit with over 50,000 members all over the Southwestern Nigeria, we know our communities like the back of our palm, and we are ready to defend security in our communities to enable our people to live with dignity."

"It is a time for us to come together, share our experiences, and strengthen our bonds," he said.
He also urged citizens to emulate the spirit of unity and cooperation that characterised the celebration, and to work towards building a better future for themselves and their communities.
''It is the responsibility of every government to provide basic amenities for its citizens. In this regard, I respectfully request your intervention in the areas of food supply, electricity, security, and housing. These four areas urgently need serious attention.
''Mr. President, I appreciate your efforts so far, especially in the area of security. However, even better results can be achieved with the support of local security organisations like OPC (Reformed), and other groups who are willing to risk their lives to protect our communities.
''Another issue that requires urgent attention is housing. It is becoming increasingly difficult for people to pay rent in major cities like Lagos and Abuja; I kindly appeal for your immediate intervention in this area.
‘'The current minimum wage is not sufficient for workers to afford rent, let alone cover food, transportation, and other basic needs. I also appeal to you to encourage state governors to address the issue of house rent in their respective states. Alternatively, funds from the proceeds of oil subsidy could be directed toward housing development.''
