The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has announced plans to arrange the marriage of his 21-year-old adopted daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor, who is autistic.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Chinyere said he is seeking a young suitor who is physically and mentally fit to marry Chiemeka.

He noted that she is able to speak and hear well.

“I am giving out another of my adopted daughters in marriage. Her name is Chiemeka Chibuzor. She is 21 years old and has autism. She can speak and hear well,” he stated.

Chinyere also outlined incentives for interested suitors, including lifetime financial support, free housing, and a property to be jointly owned by the couple.

“The man that must marry her must be a young man not old or disabled in any form. Lifetime salary, no foreign vacation. Free house forever, house built in the name of both of you”, he added.

He added that OPM staff would conduct regular unannounced visits to monitor her welfare.

“Regular unplanned supervision visits by OPM staff to be sure she is not maltreated badly”, he concluded.

Chinyere said the arrangement aims to ensure she is properly cared for, protected, and lives a happy life.

The announcement follows a similar case in March, when the cleric arranged the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man, widely known as Aboy, to an older woman in a ceremony held on March 29.

The wedding drew mixed reactions over concerns about consent, dignity, and the ethics of arranging marriages for people with cognitive disabilities.

Chinyere later responded to the criticism by gifting Aboy, now renamed Elijah, a Lexus car and a plot of land.

He also appointed him as an ambassador for the church’s free school for children with autism and Down syndrome.
