Optimus Bank has recorded 69.94 per cent increase in profit before tax to N24.14 billion in its audited financial results for the year ended December 31.

This shows the bank’s ability to translate revenue growth into stronger profitability.

It delivered a robust growth in key performance indicators and reinforced the strength of its business model.

Gross earnings rose by 73.53 per cent to N50.67 billion from N29.20 billion in 2024, driven by growth in core banking activities, improved asset yields and increasing customer adoption in key segments.

Operating income grew by 82.02 per cent to N42.75 billion, demonstrating strength of the bank’s earning capacity, while profit before tax increased by 69.94 per cent to N24.14 billion, highlighting its ability to translate revenue growth into stronger profitability.

Balance sheet stood at N286.02 billion, gross loans rose 137.19 per cent to N118.16 billion, reflecting stronger credit support to businesses and key productive sectors.

Customer deposits closed at N114.12 billion, reflecting sustained customer confidence and market acceptance. The bank maintained a sound liquidity, with a ratio of 101.52 per cent, providing headroom to support business growth and strategic initiatives.

Ademola Odeyemi, MD/CEO, said: “We delivered strong growth in key financial indicators while maintaining discipline in risk management and operational efficiency.

“These reflect the success of our digital-first strategy, which is accelerating customer acquisition, deepening engagement and enhancing service delivery, while positioning the bank for sustainable scale.”
