Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen continued his outstanding scoring run, netting his 10th league goal of the season while also providing an assist in Galatasaray's 3-1 victory over Alanyaspor on Saturday.

The Super Eagles forward played a key role as Galatasaray maintained pressure in the Turkish Super Lig title race.

This is the second time this season that the former African Footballer of the Year has both scored a goal and provided an assist in a single match.

Osimhen contributed directly to the opening stages of the match, combining effectively with midfielders to stretch Alanyaspor's defence.

His influence helped create attacking momentum for Galatasaray, who controlled large periods of possession at home.

The hosts eventually broke the deadlock late in the first half when defender Sacha Boey finished from close range after a well-timed pass from midfield orchestrator Lucas Torreira.

The goal gave Galatasaray a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

Alanyaspor responded after the restart, equalizing through striker Steve Mounie, who headed home a cross from the right flank to make it 1-1 in the 49th minute.

However, Galatasaray quickly regained control of the encounter as Torreira finished clinically in a one-on-one situation to restore the lead at 2-1 in the 58th minute.

Osimhen then sealed the victory in the closing stages after capitalizing on a defensive mistake from Alanyaspor goalkeeper Paulo Victor.

The Super Eagles forward reacted fastest to a loose ball inside the box and fired home confidently to complete the 3-1 scoreline.

The victory strengthened Galatasaray's position in the league standings as they continue their pursuit of domestic honours.

Osimhen's consistent performances have made him one of the standout forwards in the Turkish Super Lig.
