…’APC expanding at grassroots’

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ila-Orangun Federal Constituency, Hon. Adeniyi Ismail, has said members of the Accord Party and the Peoples Democratic Party are set to join the opposition party ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Adeniyi also stated that the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu in Osun reflects what he described as a growing national consensus around the administration’s ongoing economic reforms.

The House of Representatives hopeful said the party, driven largely by its youth wing and grassroots mobilisers, is strengthening its local structures to consolidate support across Osun State.

Speaking during his ongoing door-to-door awareness campaign in Ifedayo Local Government Area, he noted that the defection of five members of the National Assembly from the Peoples Democratic Party signals what he termed Osun’s readiness to return a progressive government to power.

He said, “The recent development in our party is a demonstration of unity, confidence, and strategic direction within the APC.

“The endorsement of President Tinubu reflects the growing national consensus around purposeful leadership, economic reform, and a clear vision for Nigeria’s long-term development,” he stated.

He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level, stressing the importance of inclusive participation, youth engagement, and sustained stakeholder collaboration across Ila, Boluwaduro, and Ifedayo Federal Constituency.

Adeniyi added, “Members of PDP and Accord parties will join APC in mass before August 8th 2026 Osun State Governorship election. I can assure you that Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji(AMBO) is our next governor. The ruling party is getting empty everyday with our door-to-door awareness.”
