A former lawmaker, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has said alleged falsehoods and propaganda against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election will not prevent the party from winning.

Oyintiloye, in a statement on Sunday, described the series of allegations against the APC and its candidate as a reflection of the opposition’s fear of impending defeat, noting that such tactics were unfortunate.

He maintained that no amount of misinformation or fabricated claims would weaken the resolve of voters, who, he said, are determined to support the APC at the polls.

“The opposition is jittery because of the electoral defeat that awaits them on August 15, and that is why they are spreading misinformation on a daily basis. However, the people of Osun are now wiser and will not repeat the mistake they made in 2022. They are eager to return the APC to power in the state,” he said.

Oyintiloye added that the APC has resolved its internal issues, stressing that no underhand tactics would derail its chances of victory.

He further stated that the party’s prospects have been strengthened by its candidate, Oyebamiji, whom he described as a man of integrity, honesty and diligence.

The former lawmaker also expressed confidence in the party’s campaign structure, noting that the committee chaired by Hon. Wole Oke would deliver a decisive victory.

He urged residents of the state to remain resolute and avoid being misled by what he described as desperate attempts to undermine the state’s return to progressive governance.
