A socio-political group in Osun State, Omoluabi Ethos Monitoring Group, (OEMG) has berated the Action Peoples Party (APP) for dragging the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), before a court over alleged discrepancies in his credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), describing the move as baseless ahead of the 2026 election.
The group also warned against what it described as a coordinated political script allegedly being played by the Accord Party.

OEMG, through its National Coordinator, Alhaji Olawanle Aderemi, said: “Those currently hiding in the Accord Party in Osun are known for using people to achieve mischievous ends, and dumping them thereafter. The recent court case filed by the APP challenging Oyebamiji's eligibility to contest the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun indicated that the Accord Party was afraid of an impending defeat.
“We called on the national leadership of APP to monitor activities in the Osun chapter; those in charge of the party in the state often made themselves available, running errands of shame for the ruling party.”
Aderemi queried APP for belabouring itself on other people's courses instead of leaving the matter for INEC, saying, "We as a group felt embarrassed seeing the court paper. In this era, it's disheartening that we can still find a political party that will not mind its business, but is showing public bias in favour of another party.”
“APP has been nothing to show for their blind loyalty to the state government since they have been making themselves available for use, mostly for ignominious reasons.”
