The governorship aspiration of Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received a boost on Thursday as residents of three local government areas in Osun State declared support for his candidacy ahead of the 2026 election.
The endorsement came from residents of Iwo, Ayedire, and Ola-Oluwa during a “Walk to Win” rally organised by a party leader, Peter Ogundeji, popularly known as Apata. Participants described Oyebamiji as well-positioned to consolidate development efforts and reposition the state for economic growth.

The rally moved through Ola-Oluwa to Iwo, forming part of what organisers described as a strategic grassroots mobilisation drive to strengthen support for the aspirant ahead of the poll.
Meanwhile, APC members have commenced a house-to-house sensitisation campaign to highlight the policy reforms of Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the rally, Ogundeji said sustained mobilisation, strategic canvassing, and unity within the party would be crucial to securing victory. He described the movement as a collective commitment to ensuring Oyebamiji’s emergence.
Ogundeji, a hopeful for the Osun West Senatorial District ticket in 2027, commended party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters for what he termed a strong display of unity.

“We have inaugurated the youth wing of our party to commence a door-to-door sensitisation exercise on the gains of President Bola Tinubu’s policy reforms and for his re-election.”
The Osun State Chairman of APC, Chief Tajudeen Lawal, commended members for their impressive turnout and unwavering commitment, urging supporters to extend mobilisation efforts beyond the rally by taking the message of AMBO’s candidacy from house to house, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory.
Similarly, the APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle, called for unity among young voters, urging them to deliver overwhelming support for Oyebamiji at the polls.
