…vow to resist vote-buying against Tinubu/Oyebamiji in three Osun LGAs

…back Akande's political son, Adeniyi

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have urged party chieftains, including Chief Bisi Akande, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the party’s national secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, to prioritise youth inclusion in the allocation of House of Representatives tickets ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.

The call was made during a strategy meeting of party stakeholders, including youth leaders in Ila Federal Constituency, convened as part of preparations for ongoing house-to-house campaigns ahead of the Osun governorship election and the 2027 general polls.

The stakeholders also pledged to resist vote-buying, stressing the need for credible electoral processes.

Speaking on behalf of the constituency leaders, the APC Youth Leader in Ifedayo, Hon. Azeez Kazeem, appealed to both state and national leaders of the party to consider Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO), described as a political protégé of Chief Akande, for the House of Representatives ticket in the area.

He argued that such a move would enhance the party’s electoral prospects.

“We are confident that the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, will win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, and we are equally optimistic that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election,” he said.

Kazeem added that allocating National and State Assembly tickets to young candidates would boost grassroots mobilisation and attract broader support for the party.

“Many of those we are meeting during our door-to-door campaign are youth and their yearning is for youth leadership to understand their plights.”

Similarly, the student leader within APC, Comrade Ayomide Alabi, said, “We will resist any form of electoral fraud during the forthcoming election in Osun State. One of the House of Rep hopeful, Adeniyi Oluwatosin will be the best for our party because his popularity cut across every strata of society.”

The House of Rep hopeful, Adeniyi, said “We will not relent until we unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke on August 15th. Vote-buying or any haphazard project in this constituency will save the incumbent from imminent defeat.”
