There was tension in Lagos State Community on Monday after residents of the area protested against a married man named Edenoh Joseph Obaro over alleged homosexuality.
The Nation learnt that Obaro on January 3rd 2022, invited his gay partner to the house at No 23, Isamoile, Oke-Afo, Badagry Expressway, Lagos State during a carnival when the incident occurred.
A resident in the area confirmed that “Obaro invited one Kayode to his house when his wife and children were away and they were caught by a youth simply identified as Tunde who came visiting at the time.

“He escalated the matter to the community heads in the area which led mob to the residence of Obaro. They were beaten to pulp as they tagged the act as an abomination. The action infuriated some youths who set ablaze Obaro’s house.
“During the pandemonium, Obaro and his partner escaped the scene. Police operatives and Fire Service men arrived the scene to make arrest of the perpetrators and arsonists but they have escaped.”
The wife of the suspect (Obaro), Roseline confirmed the attack, saying, “We are homeless now and I don't know the whereabouts of my husband. The mob have razed our house with all vital documents including marriage certificate, electronics, our children vital documents, and other credentials.
“They (community) are still after the life of my husband, I have reported the threat to life before Ikeja Police station, they promised to arrest the arsonists and also told me that they will prosecute my husband if caught.”
Confirming the incident, a police report signed by a policeman, William Popoola at Ikeja Police station, stated that Mrs Roseline, reported the matter for necessary action to be taken.
