Stakeholders, supporters, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State are awaiting the arrival of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, at the Alakia Airport in Ibadan from Abuja.
Adelabu is expected to return home following his resignation on Wednesday to pursue his ambition to run for governor in the state in 2027.
Supporters gathered at the airport in the early hours of Thursday to receive him after his tenure.

He is expected to proceed from the airport to the Adebayo Adelabu Foundation office in Jericho, Ibadan, where he will meet with supporters.
Adelabu previously contested the 2019 Oyo governorship election under the APC but lost to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Seyi Makinde.
He also ran for the same position in 2023 under the Accord Party but was again defeated by the incumbent governor.
The former minister has, however, indicated his intention to contest the governorship seat in the 2027 general elections.
