Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, has urged newly inaugurated local government chairmen of the party to prioritise loyalty to the APC and ensure fairness to all party members in their respective areas.
Adeyemo made the call on Friday during the inauguration of the new party chairmen in 30 of the 33 local government areas of the state.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the APC State Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, was attended by prominent party leaders, members and supporters.
He said, "We have reached a critical stage in our journey to the 2027 general elections and I want to use this medium to inform you that much is expected from you as the major handlers of our great Party at the grassroots level.

"As LG party chairmen, you must be loyal to the leadership of the party and more importantly, President Bola Tinubu who is our pride of all times.
"The huge success which we recorded recently at the Ward, LGA and state congresses is a testament to the fact that the APC has come of age in Oyo state. Relevant stakeholders have done a lot to return our party to the path of peace, progress and all round victory at polls.
"Therefore, we all need to contribute our quota to the realization of the core objectives which centre around delivering over 80 per cent of the total votes from the state in the 2027 presidential election to President Tinubu and also reclaim the Agodi Government House.
"The Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle-led Local Organizing Committee for the congresses has done a good job and I can assure everyone that the challenges which we have in two or three LGAs will be fully resolved in a matter of days. You (LGA Party Chairmen) need to swing into action immediately by mobilizing other Exco members to work with leaders, members and supporters of our great party day and night to facilitate victory for all APC candidates in the next year polls."
