The Oyo State Government has commenced a reverification exercise for property owners affected by the first phase of the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road in Ibadan who are yet to receive compensation.

The Chairman of the Monitoring Committee on Compensation Payment for the project, retired CP Sunday Odukoya, disclosed on Monday that the exercise is aimed at capturing more than 900 individuals omitted during the initial compensation process.

Recall that on April 22, 2026, the state government approved an additional N5.8 billion as compensation for another set of property owners affected by the arterial road project, alongside earlier payments made to hundreds of others.

Odukoya said that from Monday, April 27, 2026, affected property owners in the first phase of the 110km Circular Road who were not captured previously are expected to report to the Ministry of Lands or the office of the Executive Assistant on Security to the Governor, who also chairs the verification committee, for confirmation of their status.

He stated that applicants must present key documents including local government identification letters or residence permits for non-indigenes, survey plans of properties or farmlands, property drawings, photographs, land purchase agreements, and sworn affidavits from a court or the Ministry of Justice.

Other requirements include a letter of power of attorney from the Ministry of Justice (for representatives), five recent passport photographs of claimants, National Identification Number (NIN), five passport photographs of guarantors or sureties, valid identification of guarantors, and complete bank details.

The committee also advised applicants to provide any additional documents that may be required by the monitoring team, as well as letters of recommendation from landlord associations within the affected areas.
